I'll go first!
Hey, I'm Lauren! I'm an Aberdeen born, internationally raised, professional photographer based out of Aberdeen and Kyle of Lochalsh. I live to capture love, passion and life's most important moments for couples, families, organisations and business across the North of Scotland (and beyond!).
My priority is making you look and feel your best.
I get it. Not everyone loves having their photograph taken and even if they do they are still very conscious of what they look like and whether they'll like the result or not. I believe it's my responsibility as a photographer to ensure that the people who step in front of my camera feel as comfortable as possible. I believe that everyone looks their best when their personality is allowed to shine through and that only happens when people are relaxed and allowed to be themselves!
My Approach.
This is why, on the whole, I take a more documentary style approach. I love capturing the candid moments, but I'm hands on when you need me to be. I'll never force you into an uncomfortable pose and I'll always stay within the bounds of what you're comfortable with. If you're an adventurous couple that wants photographs at the top of Lochnagar, I'll get my hiking boots on but if you're just as happy to have photographs taken in the comfort of your own home or garden, I'm down with that too. If you're looking for a photographer that will go the extra mile to understand you and your needs, tailors their approach accordingly and pays attention to the small details, then please get in touch. Where it all began...
My photography journey started whilst I was studying Mathematics at Durham University. I used to bring my little Canon 700D along to university events and take photos of my friends and the decorations for fun. Interest in my photographs grew and grew and by the end of my 4th year I was asked to photograph some of the universities most prestigious events. It was then that I decided that I wanted to pursue a photography career upon graduating. Although I love photographing people, landscapes are at the centre of my passion for photography and heavily influence the way I photograph people in their environment, as well as my editing style. The photographs above are from two trips I made to Iceland in 2017.
My loves...
Family
I live with my fiancé Nathan who is an accountant but is also a top model and lighting assistant when I need a helping hand.
Travel
From growing up abroad I love discovering new places. The Philippines, Barbados, Singapore and Santorini are top of my list of places to go next.
The outdoors
I absolutely love skiing, hiking and kayaking. I also have my PADI Open Water qualification but I'm yet to try underwater photography!
Everything sweet
I have a massive sweet tooth with chocolate being my kryptonite. You can often catch me at Mackies 19.2 devouring waffles smothered in Nutella.

My boyfriend and I had a photo shoot with Lauren out at Balmedie Beach. She chose the location and it couldn’t have been more perfect! We had an amazing time! Lauren was very welcoming and definitely made us both feel comfortable in front of the camera! Everything felt so calm but organised which was amazing! We have received the link to the portal of our images and they couldn’t have turned out more perfect!
